Recently I’ve been thinking of redesigning my old room from my parents house. Although I visit them every now and then and don’t spend too much time in that room I thought it could use a new fresh design as it’s been unchanged since my highschool years (and that was more that 10 years ago). That and the bed there doesn’t fit me anymore :).

So I pretty much have an idea of how I want it to look after it’s finished, I already drew a nice little sketch and now I’m working on a 3D model to have a better picture, but I’m still not fixed on the design of the bookcase. Did I mention that I intend to build all the furniture pieces myself? Yeah, this will be quite a challenge :). So all I know is that I want a really big bookcase, to fit the hole wall from the back of the room, left to right and top to bottom. So I was surfing the internet for ideas and I thought I’d share some of the more interesting designs here as well. Enjoy!
